Our special Peel Leader Galentine’s Day event, held on February 12th, was a huge success! It was a great day of sharing the love with 40 of our WoVeN sisters! The peer leaders participated in an Alumni group and worked to build a vision board of their hopes for the future! See below for a few examples of the amazing products created that day!

Lois Withers showed off her WoVeN goodies and her beautiful vision board!

She shared these words about the day:

“Galentine’s Day was such a special day for me. It was a day of much needed sisterhood time, laughter, and so many smiles I couldn’t help but feel the love and support. I couldn’t help laughing and smiling. It’s been ages since I’ve done a vision board, so it started a new way of thinking about myself and my goals. Something about seeing my own words to myself helped me to feel the empathy and grace I need to give myself more often. The absolute best part of being a member of WoVeN is the support I receive and the connections we make with one another, as women, as we all navigate this world we live in today.”

Lyvia Barrow shared her gorgeous vision board and her thoughts about the special day:

“For me it is something about a vision board that seems like it is my future written in stone and a promise to myself. I just cannot break a promise to myself. The best part was the energy. Even though it was virtual, it felt so good to be in the presence of so many other accomplished, like-minded, female Veterans. We are the same, but we are different. The small break-out rooms gave more people a chance to speak and share and learn from each other. It really turned out to be a special day that will follow me throughout the rest of the year and my life. I look forward to joining next year’s Galentine’s event.”
