Many of us are looking for new ways to manage stress during this difficult time. The WoVeN Team has compiled a list of resources that you may find helpful as we all march through the COVID-19 crisis together.

It won’t surprise you to hear that the WoVeN team believes that staying connected with others is one of the most important strategies for managing stress during uncertain times! You can always stay connected with our amazing community of women Veterans by signing up to receive WoVeN’s weekly newsletter or seeing what we’re up to on our FacebookInstagram, and LinkedIn pages.

During social distancing, WoVeN is continuing to connect women Veterans together in online WoVeN groups. Online groups are led by WoVeN’s amazing peer leaders using WoVeN’s powerful group curriculum, but meet using Zoom’s online platform rather than in person. Over 200 women Veterans have already participated in WoVeN online! If you are interested in joining an online WoVeN group,  fill out this form and we’ll let you know when new groups are starting.

Our list of resources will also give you some ideas of how to continue on your WoVeN journey, even if you are not currently participating in a group! For each of our WoVeN Themes — Transitions, Balance, Stress Relief, Connections, Health Living, and Esteem – we’ve compiles some additional resources and activities that you can do on your own.

If you’d like to learn more about coping with stress during COVID-19 we have some suggestions, including a cool mobile app, the COVID Coach App, and some great resources from the National Center for PTSD in their comprehensive toolkit for Managing Stress During COVID-19.  TRICARE has also put together some great ideas for staying mentally fit during social distancing that are worth checking out. As always, if you find that you are in need of some urgent mental health support you can reach out to the Veterans Crisis Line anytime by calling 1-800-273-8255 (press 1).

From all of us here at WoVeN, stay safe, connected, and #wovenstrong!
