The Department of Veteran Affairs has many resources specifically for Veterans. These resources range from treatment options for PTSD, care specific to women’s health, readjustment counseling and more.

VA Medical Centers

The Veterans Health Administration is America’s largest integrated health care system, providing care at 1,255 health care facilities, including 170 medical centers and 1,074 outpatient sites of care of varying complexity (VHA outpatient clinics), serving 9 million enrolled Veterans each year.

All VA Medical Centers provide mental health care, and so do many smaller VA clinics. If you are not currently enrolled, apply online at www.va.gov/health-care/how-to-apply/ or call 1-877-222-VETS (8387). You may also apply for enrollment in person at your local VA.
