Resources for Women Veterans
- MakeTheConnection is a one-stop resource where Veterans and their families can explore information on mental health issues, watch video testimonials from women Veterans who have overcome mental health challenges, and access the support and resources they need.
The Women Veterans Call Center provides women Veterans and their families with information about VA services and resources. All call center representatives are women and many are Veterans.

Resources for Veterans
All VA Medical Centers provide mental health care, and so do many smaller VA clinics. If you are not currently enrolled, apply online at www.va.gov/health-care/how-to-apply/ or call 1-877-222-VETS (8387). You may also apply for enrollment in person at your local VA.
Vet Centers across the country offer a broad range of mental health counseling, outreach, and referral services to Veterans and their families. Learn more about eligibility for Vet Center care or find a Vet Center near you.
Download one of VA’s free mobile apps. These apps equip you with tools and information to manage stress and symptoms of anxiety, depression, or PTSD.
The Veteran Combat Call Center is a confidential hotline where combat Veterans and their families can call to talk about any aspect of their military experience or readjustment to civilian life. All staff are combat Veterans or family members of combat Veterans. Call 1-877-WAR-VETS (1-877-927-8387).
The Wounded Warrior Project: Warrior Care Network is a collaboration between Wounded Warrior Project and its medical partners. It connects Veterans living with PTSD, TBI, and other conditions to clinical services.
Military OneSource offers counseling and many other resources. Call their 24/7 hotline: 1-800-342-9647.
Resources for Everyone
Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) offers an online Mental Health Services Locator. Call for assistance 24 hours a day 1-800-662-HELP (4357).
RAINN, the Rape, Abuse and Incest National Network, is the nation’s largest anti-sexual violence organization. Call their 24/7 free National Sexual Assault Hotline at 1-800-656-HOPE (4673) or start a confidential chat.
The National Domestic Violence Hotline provides 24-hour support and crisis intervention to victims and survivors of domestic violence at 1-800-799-SAFE (7233) or start a confidential chat.
Sidran Institute Help Desk will help you find treatment for trauma-related mental health issues. Email or call the Help Desk at (410) 825-8888.
